These two gauges help production personnel to understand the real-time sealing parameters and guide the operators to adjust the sealing parameters of the machine. The aerosol factory can avoid the quality problem of leakage from the beginning and save enormous losses.

Each segment will expand during the move to push the valve mounting cup into curl to seal it tight on the aerosol can.
The claw can enter the valve cup deeper or shorter, and the segments can expand bigger or smaller. This results in different crimping diameters and depths.
But only the appropriate crimping dimensions are qualified to ensure no leakage.
The distance between the two curl points is the crimp diameter, and the valve top to the curl is the crimp depth.
What crimping dimensions are qualified?
There are no determined parameters because different manufacturers have differences between the valves and cans.
However, below are the typical dimensions for your reference. But, we suggest asking the valve suppliers about the crimp diameter and depth before using the valves.
Crimp Diameter: 27.2~27.4mm
Crimp Depth: 5.2~5.3mm
